چکیده

The Ordos Block in China experiences tectonic activity and frequent earthquakes due to compression from the Tibetan Plateau extension North Block. This has prompted construction of a high-resolution three-dimensional (3D) deformation field better understand region’s crustal movement. Considering limitations existing geodetic observations, we used InSAR, GPS, leveling observations create high-precision 3D for Spherical wavelet decomposition was separate non-tectonic signals. Short-wavelength fields revealed complex surface patterns caused by groundwater, oil, gas extraction, coal mining. Long-wavelength showed subsidence southern margin block, while interior northeastern margins were uplifted. By combining imaging results seismic velocity structure magnetotellurics, infer that upwelling deep materials beneath leads uplift with tensile strain rates. area south 38°N matches thickening lower crust. weak eastward horizontal movement disappearing near 108°E at support existence asthenosphere flow Qinling orogenic belt.

Spatio-temporal evolution of Yellowstone deformation between 1992 and 2009 from InSAR and GPS observations

In this study, the spatio-temporal evolution of Yellowstone deformation between 1992 and 2009 is monitored using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) data acquired by the European Remote-Sensing Satellites (ERS-1 and ERS-2) and the Environmental Satellite (ENVISAT). These data are combined with continuous global positioning system (GPS) measurements to identify four discrete episode...

Distribution of present‐day vertical deformation across the Southern Alps, New Zealand, from 10 years of GPS data

[1] We use ten years of GPS data from nine continuous and six semi‐continuous GPS stations in a transect across the Southern Alps to measure rates of relative vertical movement with typical 1s uncertainties of 0.3–0.5 mm/yr. The estimated vertical rates define a fairly smooth profile across the range, with the highest rates of ∼5 mm/yr found near the crest of the mountains and ∼20–30 km southea...

Mapping surface deformation related to the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake with ALOS InSAR and GPS observations

The Ms8.0 Wenchuan earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008 in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China. The devastating event caused a significant surface rupture and deformation in a large geographical area. This study intends to investigate the co-seismic surface deformations due to the main shock by integrating observations from interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) and global positio...

Coseismic Deformation from the 1999 Mw 7.1 Hector Mine, California, Earthquake as Inferred from InSAR and GPS Observations

We use interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) and Global Positioning System (GPS) observations to investigate static deformation due to the 1999 Mw 7.1 Hector Mine earthquake, that occurred in the eastern California shear zone. Interferometric decorrelation, phase, and azimuth offset measurements indicate regions of surface and near-surface slip, which we use to constrain the geometry...
